What is Twisters about?

Twisters is a disaster film produced by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. The film is a sequel to 1996’s Twister starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, and follows the story of two new protagonists, Kate Cooper and Typer Owens, as they storms to test a new weather alert system. Twisters is directed by Lee Isaac Chung, whose previous works include the Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated Minari, Munyurangabo, and an episode in the third season of The Mandalorian. The screenplay is written by Mark L Smith, who is known for co-writing The Revenant.
